“A guy walks up to me and asks, “What’s Punk?”. So I kick over a garbage can and say. “That’s punk!”. So he kicks over the garbage can and says, “That’s Punk?”, and I say, “No that’s trendy!” Billie Joe Armstrong, reported in Matt Doeden, Green Day: Keeping Their Edge (2006).
Back to the ‘70s, The London punk scene came to define and epitomise the rebellious youth culture fighting against what was considered social alienation of a disaffected industrial Britain. Unsurprisingly, as an expression of its subversive energy paired with its passion for industrial revolution SEVENFRIDAY created a limited UK Punk watch.
The M1/04 PUNK is limited to 450 pieces worldwide and goes on sale 1st July in Harrods. This Punk M-Series is clothed in a leather jacket animation ring decorated with 3 punk studs. Gothic roman numbers taken from Big Ben display the time and the special edition leather strap reminds us of punk fashion with steel reinforced eyelets, Tartan detailing and a union Jack tongue.
Strap yourself a SEVENFRIDAY Punk and cast a finger at convention!
To celebrate the launch of this new watch we took over London’s iconic 100 Club with Punk band Colt 45 for a night of SEVENFRIDAY Punk. Legendary bands like The Sex Pistols, The Ramones and the Clash created an exciting noise to teenage anarchy in this very venue. Headliners Colt 45 took the stage and brought the house down, being shouted back for an encore by the crowd!
The M1/04 PUNK is available from 1st July exclusively in Harrods for the UK market as one of a handful of luxury watches chosen to form their #MadeWithPrecision summer campaign.
